Archconfraternity of the Holy Face
Ave Maria!
Dominus det tibi Suam Pacem!
And a most Blessed Feast Day of St. Raphael the Archangel!
I hope that it is alright that I am sharing this. You may know of or may even be already practicing the Holy Face devotion. I recently enrolled in the Archconfraternity of the Holy Face. It is such a simple devotion to do daily to obtain conversion and make reparation. I have always recited the chaplet but never knew about the Archconfraternity of the Holy Face of Jesus in which St. Therese, her saintly family and Sr. Wilhelmina were enrolled.
The Holy Face devotion was given as a remedy to the evils of our time, mainly Communism. Fr. Lawrence Carney, who happened to be the confessor of Sr. Wilhelmina and now the priest working to spread this devotion, says the Holy Face of Jesus is intricately connected to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. He said in blaspheming God we are also blaspheming Our Lady. Those who say the Golden Arrow prayer are like archers shooting into the Heart of God to wound His Heart so that Mercy will flow out. This is the same message we hear from Our Lady of Fatima. The Immaculate Heart of Mary is waiting for the triumph of the Sacred Heart of Jesus over "revolutionary men" or Communism. Fr. Lawrence Carney began the League of St. Martin (www.martinians.org) for this purpose and also to bring reverence back to the Holy Mass by restoring the Traditional Latin Mass.
I realize that navigating the martinians website and perhaps understanding exactly how to enroll in the Archconfraternity of the Holy Face may be slightly confusing so I came up with a flier that I will be placing in local churches, God-willing. Please see attached.
Interestingly tomorrow will be the anniversary of the day the Archconfraternity of the Holy Face was established, October 25, 1884. You are welcome to share these fliers. Just a heads up, if you enroll via email, you will most likely receive a response in french. I used an online translator to respond back in french. In doing this, I kind of felt like I was united to St. Therese in a special way : )
Ave Maria! Thank you for these downloads, Sr. Clare. Sharing this w our local Chapter. Pax
