What portion of the rule is binding on sin if we don't complete it venial or mortal, and should we let this affect our conscience?

Thank You Br. Anthony, I will look into that book by St Bonaventure and Fr. Fehlner.
For a religious brother or a priest would there be anything binding under sin regarding a rule of life, or the Office? Does it depend on the order or profession of vows, or is the answer the same?
